MotorMate POD Radio System

This custom designed system gives you the ability to listen to AM/FM Radio or CD (standard as well as MP3 and WMA). You can plug an external music/sound source (iPod, GPS, etc.) into the front panel’s auxiliary input.  It even has a SD Card reader and a USB “thumb drive” reader, so you can take tunes from your computer!  You can control all this on the radio itself, of course, or with the wireless remote control.

The radio pod mounts to a custom machined bracket, attached to the handlebar, under the plastic.

Available in three versions.  The “Complete Radio Pod with Receiver” includes a receiver, waterproof housing with an internal antenna, waterproof speakers, and all the mounting hardware necessary.  The “Radio Pod without Receiver” includes the same housing, speakers, and mounting hardware, but does not come with a receiver, thereby allowing you to add your own automotive type receiver.  The “Radio Pod Alone” includes the same waterproof housing and mounting hardware, but no receiver or speakers.

Contrary to what the photo makes it look like, the Dash is NOT obscured or hidden at all from the driver’s seat. The Radio POD does not interfere with any controls, visual indicators or ignition.  (Ian’s note: I’m 5’3” and had no problem seeing the dashboard while sitting on a Burgman 650 with this radio unit installed.)

When desired for storage or security reason, the entire assembly can dismount in seconds and store UNDER YOUR SEAT!!. Easy to hear at highway speeds, waterproof speakers, magnetically shielded so your compass or GPS is not affected. Top of housing makes a great place to mount a camera or a GPS system.

The mounting system is designed to work on the Suzuki Burgman 400, 650 and Honda Silver Wing bikes; specify bike model when ordering.

NOTE: the switch shown between the speakers in the photographs here was installed on a "trade show" model so it could be powered without a bike's ignition switch for the purpose of demonstration.  The "production" models do not have this switch.  Also, the receiver in shipped product is newer than the one in the photograph so it may not appear the same; it will, however, have the features mentioned above.  Finally, this product is generally shipped directly from the source to you (we rarely have them on hand); if you order this item with other items, they will likely be shipped separately.
